Diamonds and Toads Acrylic

This is a painting I had to do for a Fairy Tale painting assignment. I was looking all over for an uncommon story with cool visuals and I came across this tale called Diamonds and Toads .

For the record, I think acrylic paint is the most difficult medium to work with and I have a ton of trouble with it. (I can't wait to use oils for my first time!) This piece took me forever, it's so hard to get a smooth and solid color with this stuff. I have so much respect for people that can pull off this medium with ease.
