This is the first page in a series of 5 pages of narrative, illustrating the birth and death of the character we all know and love, Harley Quinn. It's done in a sort or Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde way, showing the progression into insanity and it's inspired by the Mad Love episode of Batman the animated series. I think Harley Quinn's story is so tragic, one of most well written stories of any other DC character. In short, it's just a girl who falls in love and is willing to sacrifice everything for this man. She sacrifices her heart, her life and her sanity for someone who will never love her back. I feel like I can connect with her (not just because I used myself as reference, OBVIOUSLY heh) but because I can relate to that feeling of just wanting to be loved and doing anything for someone to have their love. It is beautiful and tragic.
